Special night February 5 features limited-edition, barrel-aged bottle release.

ELMHURST, IL, Jan. 21, 2022 – Elmhurst Brewing is pleased to mark its fourth anniversary with its annual “Jammies” Party on February 5, featuring a special limited bottle release, and graciously extends an invitation to Chicagoland’s craft beer lovers to come out and celebrate.

Head Brewer Cam Horn is creating a tasty concoction tailored just for the occasion and season: a new Four-Barrel Imperial Stout, made with cacao nibs and vanilla beans and aged in bourbon barrels (more details below). Elmhurst Brewing will offer 125 750ml bottles of the stout for sale to guests to take home and will also be pouring its award-winning beers and serving up Head Chef’s David Spingola’s delicious entrees.

“We spent the past year aging an imperial stout in four different whiskey barrels, which we blended together with cocoa nibs and vanilla beans,” Horn said. “We think our guests will enjoy the results and we look forward to celebrating with them February 5.”

The people of Elmhurst Brewing have a lot to celebrate, and a lot of reasons to be excited about the future. Last year, Elmhurst Brewing’s beer production reached a new peak, rising 48% over 2020 to 725 barrels.

More recently, Elmhurst Brewing was awarded two medals at the 2022 World Beer Championships, a Silver for its Schwartz black lager and a Bronze for its Oktoberfest Märzen. Those honors follow three awards from the 2021 World Beer Championships. Elmhurst Brewing looks forward to competing in the World Beer Cup, aka the “Olympics of Beer,” May 5 in Minneapolis.

At the February 5 party, Elmhurst Brewing will serve four varieties of its popular Smooth Jammies oatmeal cookie stout: Smooth Jammies, the Devil Wears Jammies, Barrel-aged Jammies and Sticky Jammies with maple syrup. Guests are encouraged to wear their jammies (we recommend calling ahead to reserve a table).

February 5 is also a celebration of Elmhurst Brewing’s loyal guests and community and an appreciation for sticking with us through some difficult times. Since we officially opened our doors February 7, 2018, we’ve been overwhelmed by everyone’s support and love of good from-scratch food and great beer.

Thanks again and we hope to see you February 5!

Elmhurst Brewing’s Four-Barrel Imperial Stout, at 12.1% alcohol by volume, is made through a blend of beer aged in four different premium bourbon barrels: Old Fitzgerald Bourbon, Heaven Hill Bourbon with Ecuadorian cacao nibs, MGP Bourbon with Tahitian vanilla beans and Wolf Point Rye with Madagascar vanilla beans.
